The Type DLT-T Releasable Reversing Overshot is a specialized fishing tool designed to retrieve stuck fish through reversing and releasing operations. The tool integrates the advantages of overshots, box taps, and reversing tools into a single assembly, making it highly effective for difficult downhole fishing applications.

The tool structure consists of:

The upper end of the top sub connects to the drill string and other fishing tools, while the lower end connects to the bowl assembly. Inside the bowl, springs and control keys are used to control retaining seat positioning and torque transmission during fishing operations.

The tapered internal bowl structure generates gripping force against the slip assembly, enabling secure fish engagement. The specially designed control keys ensure proper slip alignment and smooth release capability during reversing operations.

In addition to retrieval functions, the overshot also allows circulation of washing fluid, helping improve wellbore cleaning and operational efficiency during fishing activities.
